Step Drills are wonderful tools for making a small hole bigger. Unlike using a huge drill bit, step drills don’t require nearly as much torque or cutting pressure as the steps mean you aren’t trying to cut one huge chip. This particular step drill does have a standard twist drill point so you can use this to start holes as well.
